11th June...Border Nevada to Heber City, Utah....Quite a diverse drive...

Well they say it's bigger if from Texas !!!
This big rig was parked at the front of our RV Park & Motel near Baker, NV...

We leave Nevada as we head out this morning on US50/6 East to Heber City, Utah....
Our home for the past two nights has been in the RV park behind this motel...yes folks we are in the boonies but love it...

And as we hit the road we immediately loose an hour as now on Mountain Time Zone....

The first 30 miles or so is across the "basin" to the Confusion Mountain Range and a climb up from 5000ft to 6,200ft elevation...

Curvy scenery in the mountains before descending to traverse 113 miles across the plains...

We are still fascinated by the sheer distances and that it is flat at 5,000ft elevation...we have passed no communities or farms so far today....

This and previous photo are of a huge salt flat....
It was very difficult to photograph as no pull out areas that could accommodate our size here although there have been many along the route so far....

And a few miles later agriculture ...... 

A few miles further still and industry...diversity in all forms today....

We had stopped in the small town of Delta to check whether this road SR132 would be ok for towing as a shorter route than following the US6 and yes perfect....it is one of the main routes for the bulk carriers to the refinery....

The town of Nephi prior to joining the I-15 North to Provos, home of the Brigham Young University and a large city with road works all through the main "drag" !!!

Once clear of the city we are on the scenic US189 East and through part of the Wasatch Mountain Range...it's a good 4 lane highway with many pullouts to view the waterfalls and scenery and an excellent place to stop for lunch sandwich....

The Bridal Veil Falls at one of the many recreational state parks along this route...with the Provos river running alongside of the highway it's a great place for fishing and kayaking.....

One of the many pretty reservoirs in this area....

You can imagine our surprise when we pulled in to find after 6 years of travelling in our Cedar Creek and only ever seeing the odd one here and there to find at least 30 of them here of various editions and types !!!!
It is the Cedar Creek Owners Annual Rally and lots of, as ever with this lifestyle, very friendly folk who were very keen to get us to join to make then truly international (they have one Canadian)....
